Who We Are
I’m a person in long-term recovery, sober since July 1988. I consider myself fortunate for getting into recovery so early in my life. I was 25 when I had my last drink.
My journey took an interesting turn in 2014, when I realized and accepted that I’m an atheist. This realization motivated me to search for others like myself, and I found many of them online. These friends encouraged me to get into podcasting, and that has been my passion since 2015.
In January of 2020, I started a new podcast, “My Secular Sobriety”, which will give me an opportunity to explore a wide array of topics of interest to secular people in recovery.

Sober since 2003, Ben has been an active participant in the greater recovery community, and he is particularly interested in secular options.
Ben and John met at a conference in California in 2014, and have been podcasting together since 2015.
